Workers are placing solar panels on a rooftop
-
Their Story
Rising electricity bills and affordable energy solution
This home in Chiang Mai was faced with high energy consumption and electricity bills during the day. To cut back on high energy costs and reduce environmental impact, the homeowners decided to adopt solar energy and transform the house into a solar power plant.
Hoymiles, known for its reliable reputation and rugged microinverter technology, emerged as a competitive choice for the homeowners. All these came at an affordable price, of course.

Their Solution
Flexible system design for maximum performance
As we can see from the bird's-eye view of this property, there are several buildings on the premise. The scattered rooftops make traditional string systems difficult because you can't connect solar panels in series into a string.
A bird-eye view of a multi-building household in Thailand is now solar-powered using Hoymiles microinverters
Hoymiles microinverters are particularly flexible to install, even if the rooftops are sophisticated and have different orientations.
A total of six HMS-2000-4T microinverters were used in this project. Each microinverter has four inputs to be connected to four solar panels independently. Instead of converting power from a string of panels as in traditional inverter systems, Hoymiles microinverters work on a per-panel basis., so you don't have to put all solar panels in a single array.
Hoymiles microinverter placed on the rail
Specifically, three microinverters were placed on the main building roof to power 12 solar panels (half of the total panels), while the other three were each installed on the separate roofs of the sub-buildings to power the remaining half of the panels. Such “scattered” layout is perfect for microinverters which are also known as distributed PV solution

Smooth integration, safety, and performance, all at an affordable cost
Hoymiles microinverters are praised for outstanding performance and affordable prices, making its products particularly cost-effective for a wide budget spectrum.
Hoymiles HMS-2000-4T microinverter
Unlike typical microinverters that are paired with solar panels one-on-one (which can be expensive if you have high energy needs), Hoymiles offers 2-in-1 and 4-in-1 models to ensure the best cost-effectiveness for users. For instance, in the case of the project in question, 24 solar panels would otherwise need 24 microinverters if it were not for Hoymiles' innovative 4-in-1 design.
With Hoymiles' flexible microinverter, the property owner managed to smoothly transform the house into a sustainable solar power plant – without investing heavily into it.
Moreover, Hoymiles microinverters are globally certified for safety, plus microinverters are designed to operate with low voltage DC, so users would never worry about any safety issues.
We also offer a warranty of up to 25 years for microinverters, so that users can rest assured about the reliable performance of their system.
The project won the Excellence Award in Residential PV for Asia-Pacific.
Their Success
We and our customers trust in the safety of the products, and the Hoymiles brand is widely recognized.
