Thanaroj Solid Wood, a wood processing manufacturer in Kanchanaburi, Thailand, was looking to improve energy efficiency and enhance power reliability for its production operations.
With continuous manufacturing processes and fluctuating electricity demand, the factory faced challenges in maximizing solar utilization. According to local grid connection requirements, excess power could not be exported to the grid, which called for a smarter energy management system.
To overcome the challenges, the factory sought an integrated solar and storage solution that could maximize renewable energy use, reduce reliance on the grid, and provide backup power support when needed.

Solution
To address these challenges, the factory integrated a 106.4 kWp PV system and a 100 kW inverter with Hoymiles’ HoyUltra 261A battery energy storage system, enabling a smarter solar-plus-storage solution for its operations.
Designed for commercial and industrial applications, HoyUltra 261A combines battery modules, PCS, fire protection, power distribution, thermal management, and local EMS into a single outdoor cabinet, enabling faster installation and simplified deployment.
The system also supports multiple-unit parallel connection and flexible capacity expansion, allowing the factory to scale its energy storage capacity as production demand grows.
To ensure reliable operation under Thailand’s high-temperature conditions, HoyUltra 261A adopts a fully liquid cooling temperature management system that maintains optimal battery temperature and minimizes the impact of heat on system performance. This helps improve system durability by extending the system lifespan by 20% compared with traditional solutions, and ensures stable operation for long-term industrial energy needs.

Success
By integrating solar generation with energy storage, the Thanaroj Solid Wood factory can better utilize its renewable energy production, store excess solar power, and deploy stored energy when solar output is insufficient and provide backup power for critical loads during grid outages.
The project marks Hoymiles’ first HoyUltra 261A deployment in Thailand, demonstrating the adaptability of its integrated energy storage platform across Southeast Asia’s diverse market requirements.
Following the successful commissioning of a commercial project in Vietnam within the same week, Hoymiles showcased its ability to rapidly deploy localized solar and storage solutions across different countries and application scenarios.
Leveraging a mature product platform and deep understanding of regional grid standards, climate conditions, and industry needs, Hoymiles continues to support Southeast Asian clients with reliable solutions covering system design, project delivery, technical support, and long-term service.
