In Chuzhou, a key manufacturing hub connecting China’s Yangtze River Delta with central regions, clean solar energy is fueling a new round of industrial growth. Qianghong Industries (Tianchang) Co., Ltd. is leading the way in energy transformation with its 39.2 MWp industrial solar project, powered by Hoymiles HINV320HX string inverters. The project recently connected to the grid and came into full operation, marking a milestone in green manufacturing and sustainable industrial upgrades in the region.

  • Story

From high energy costs to green manufacturing

As a major player in Chuzhou’s textile industry, Qianghong Industries consumes over 70 million kWh annually, with rising electricity costs putting pressure on operational efficiency. Driven by national carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals, the company sought a stable, low-carbon energy solution to reduce costs while supporting sustainable development.

After evaluating multiple technologies and technical support capabilities, Qianghong Industries chose Hoymiles HINV320HX string inverters for their superior efficiency, reliability, safety, and ease of maintenance. The system was customized to match the factory’s roof structures, grid characteristics, and energy demand—a turnkey solution designed by Hoymiles.

Advanced string inverters for complex industrial environments

Totaling 39.2 MWp, the project deployed 99 HINV320HX inverters across factory rooftops. It was designed with priority given to self-consumption while feeding surplus energy to the grid. Hoymiles string inverters excel in multiple aspects to support the energy transition of the textile business:

    • Maximum power generation: With a peak conversion efficiency of 99.05% and equipped with 12 MPPTs, the inverter easily adapts to complex rooftops with varying orientations and shading, maximizing energy yield and system stability

    • Grid-friendly performance: PLC technology ensures rapid response to grid dispatch and load fluctuations, enabling safe and flexible integration.

    • Reliable safety features: String-level monitoring and intelligent shutdown constantly safeguard the DC input of the system. Whenever an abnormal condition or fault occurs, the system will be automatically disconnected, ensuring system safety and reducing operational risk.

    • Smart operation & maintenance: The IP66-rated string inverters withstand dust, water, and harsh industrial conditions, while the remote management platform supports efficient, intelligent O&M.

All these technical advantages point to one result: Cutting costs, maximizing energy efficiency, and upgrading to smart green manufacturing.

A Model for Sustainable Industrial Upgrades

An estimate based on actual performance data indicates that the system will achieve:

    • 40.54 million kWh annual power production

    • 38,500 tons CO₂ emission reduction

    • 11,800 tons of standard coal saved per year
