The system is compatible with any grid-tied inverter (PV inverter or microinverter). With the addition of hybrid inverters, existing PV systems can be upgraded to energy storage systems (ESS), enabling greater self-consumption and backup power.
The independent energy storage inverter allows grid-tied inverters (string or microinverters) to be connected to the GEN port. In off-grid mode, the grid-tied inverter can continue operating with controlled output power, provided its capacity does not exceed the energy storage inverter’s rated power.
