However, coastal climate of high temperatures, humidity, and frequent typhoons poses significant challenges to the long-term reliability and return on investment of the power stations.

    After completing the project in 2025, Hoymiles’ technical team arrived in Wenzhou to perform comprehensive "health checks" on multiple energy storage sites in the area.

    The first inspection stop was a sports center. Home to electric vehicle fast-charging stations, battery-swapping stations, and large-scale sports venues, this area is characterized by heavy traffic and high power demand.     The Laike Sports Center faces multiple operational challenges:

    • Operational Stability Concerns:The sites are adjacent to fast-charging stations and battery swapping facilities operate continuously under high load. Any unplanned shutdown risks would disrupt core business functions and incur immediate economic losses.

    • Environmental Challenges:The coastal climate’s high temperatures, humidity, and salt fog put equipment durability to the test—traditional solutions often underperform under these severe conditions.

    • Operational Expertise Gaps:Many clients lack dedicated technical teams to deal with potential faults, which makes intelligent, preventative maintenance solutions supported by expert service all the more crucial.

    In Wenzhou, the HoyUltra2 energy storage system proves its resilience against complex environments with its secure, reliable, and stable performance.

    The HoyUltra2 system is built to endure. Its IP65 protection and C5 anti-corrosion rating form a strong defense against Wenzhou's salt fog and torrential rains. "After the last typhoon, the cabinet interior remained spotless and fully operational," an engineer noted.

    During extreme heat, the fully liquid-cooled thermal management system ensured battery cells consistently operated within the optimal temperature range, guaranteeing stable output under high loads. 

    Meanwhile, Hoymiles’ self-developed EMS provided continuous, smart monitoring, identifying potential anomalies to enable a shift from reactive maintenance to proactive protection.

    Products are only the first step. Hoymiles also has an expert team dedicated to technical service. 

    For example, they used thermal imagers and insulation resistance testers to perform comparative analyses of cell voltage, temperature, and SOC status, going far beyond visual checks. Technicians also provided professional training for the customer's operations and maintenance personnel to enhance their self-maintenance capabilities.
