What’s your role at Hoymiles?

I’m responsible for the APAC market. I spent most of my time dealing with after-sales and pre-sales support, as well as working with sales teams to train our customers and provide tech support at exhibitions.

How long have you been in the industry?

I’ve been doing overseas after-sales and pre-sales in the photovoltaic industry for five years.

What’s your professional passion?

It’s all about our customers, for me. I’m passionate about increasing customer satisfaction and loyalty. I think offering first-class service, paired with great products, is what will increase our recognition around the world.

What do you enjoy most about working at Hoymiles?

I love the working atmosphere, it’s really like a community. We’re not just colleagues, but also good friends. And, at the same time, everyone is professional. You always feel like the team is working together.

What’s your biggest accomplishment?

When I started, I only managed after-sales in the Australian market, and then I was responsible for after-sales globally. Now I take charge of the business in APAC countries, as well as helping to set up overseas branches. I also have some personal accomplishments I’m proud of – I recently started exercising, which has improved my physical and mental state a lot!

What’s your biggest challenge?

I’m working on giving my team members the best guidance possible, so everyone in the team can have a clear plan for their career. My big challenge is to help more people become the backbone of the company.

How do you maintain a work/life balance?

The boundary isn’t always clear! I love my work, so I always read and reply to emails at home. Great service means being available when your customers need you. But I do try to relax more on the weekends!

What’s your favorite book or podcast?

My favorite book is The Moon and Sixpence by Maugham. It made me realize that, no matter what situation we’re in, regardless of age, education level or environment, we have the freedom to choose what we care about and want to work for.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

Do what you like to do, stay with people you like, and chase what makes you happy.

What do you enjoy outside of work?

I like to go hiking, enjoy hot springs, and drinks with my friends. A trip to a bar is usually the first on my weekend to-do list!
